THE WHAT Hair care brand Cantu Beauty has teamed up with non-profit organization Women Empowering Nations (WEN) to host a series of career-readiness workshops for minority women around the globe.
THE DETAILS WEN’s mission is to provide exposure, development and mentorship for girls of color in underserved communities to accelerate their path to executive leadership.
As part of the joint program, WEN and Cantu will be selecting 50 young women aged between 17-23 from Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, United Kingdom, France and the United States to participate in the Girls Leading Our World (GLOW) Global Cohort.
The immersive leadership coaching experience starts in March through to May 2022.
As a virtual program, GLOW will feature female executives from diverse backgrounds, who will teach participants in workshops on career development, public speaking, professional branding and executive leadership.
The partnership will continue with the GLOW Virtual Summit, which will feature women and girls of color who represent a spectrum of journeys in entrepreneurship and leadership.
THE WHY The partnership continue’s Cantu’s philanthropy work, with the company also providing scholarships to young women around the globe to continue their education.
