THE DETAILS Delphine Viguier-Hovasse, Global Brand President L’Oréal Paris, took to LinkedIn to announce the appointment, stating, “I am very pleased to welcome H.E.R., one of the most resonant young voices, to our sisterhood of Global Ambassadors at L’Oréal Paris.”

Viguier-Hovasse continued, “An eight-time nominee for the 2022 Grammy Awards, L’Oréal Paris is excited to humbly accompany H.E.R. on her journey into the spotlight and embracing her feminist femininity. The letters H.E.R. hold a great significance to her fans, not only to young women, but to all women, to trust in the power of their worth.”

THE WHY? Viguier-Hovasse highlighted H.E.R.’s social media impact and activism work as making her a suitable Global Ambassador for L’Oréal Paris. 

She said, “As a Black and Filipino activist, to a TikTok trend sensation, inspiring some 539k videos, we couldn’t ask for a better addition to our globally diverse Beauty Ambassadors that represent some of the many pillars that define what beauty means.

H.E.R. said of the appointment, “I couldn’t believe L’Oréal Paris wanted to work with me! I was very excited. I’ve been a L’Oréal girl since I started wearing makeup. I remember using just a little bit of L’Oréal Paris mascara and my mom’s mini compact as a mirror, when I was little.”
