THE WHAT?  LVMH-owned Dior has reopened its flagship boutique 30 Montaigne following a two-year renovation. 

THE DETALS The 10,000-square-meter ‘Dior Universe’ features a store, haute couture salon, pastry café and the Monsieur Dior restaurant. 

The revamped boutique also features an exhibition space, a high-end jewellery store and private overnight apartments.

Architect Peter Marino oversaw the project, and used 100 materials from cerused oaks and white stucco textures to custom-embroidered silks.

LVMH stated, “The architectural genius of Peter Marino has given 30 Montaigne two stunning gardens as well, one open to the exterior, the other in an enclosed glass area.”

THE WHY? 30 Montaigne has been with Dior since 1946, with Christian Dior naming it “a refuge of the marvellous.”

The space has had a previous renovation in the 1950s, before it’s most recent revamp.
